English Translation

Ingredients:

2 eggs
110g caster sugar
45g plain flour
25g cornflour
1 tsp baking powder

Method:

Lightly beat the eggs then add the sugar and mix thoroughly. Beat the mixture with a whisk until light and creamy (the final mixture should be almost white and this may take some time).

Sift the flours and the baking powder into a bowl. Add the egg mixture and combine thoroughly. Turn the batter into a 500g loaf tin that's been well greased. Transfer to an oven that's been pre-heated to 180°C and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the top of the cake is golden and a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake emerges cleanly.

Allow the cake to cool in its tin for 10 minutes then turn onto a wire rack and allow to cool completely.
